To me a role model is someone in my life that has influenced me in a positive way. They help shape the way I am in the present and what I will be in the future. They are someone that I can look to for advice in a hard situation and know that they will give me words of wisdom. They will never judge me on my past but only look to help because they really do care about me. Someone who I never feel awkward talking about my problems because I know that it will not change their opinion of me. A role model should be sincere and not out for his own good but the good of others. I think that they should be older than me because they need to have more experience than I do and need to have a deeper insight. It would be pointless to have a role model who knows less than me. There are so many people in my life that have influenced me but there is only one that I can say is truly a role model and that is my grandmother Oma.

SOPA!
I hadn't heard of SOPA before but now I know
what SOPA is. SOPA means: Some of the
internet's most influential sites—Reddit and Wikipedia among them—are going
dark to protest the much-maligned anti-piracy bill. But other than being a very
bad thing, what is SOPA? SOPA stands for “stop the internet piracy act”.
I’m sure you’ve heard by now that SOPA is
bad and would ruin the Internet, but have you actually read the bill? If not,
it’s worth reading, for two reasons. First, if you are going to oppose a bill,
you should know exactly what you’re opposing, not just the unknown principle
behind it. Second, it’ll provide you with a valuable insight: that these bills
are written in an attempt to obscure the truth.
There are actually two bills, the Stop Online
Piracy Act, known as SOPA, in the House and sister legislation called the
Protect IP [Intellectual Property] Act, or PIPA, in the Senate. Both are
designed to tackle the problem of foreign-based websites that sell pirated
movies, music and other products.
SOPA is really
dangerous!

New Year's Resolution
As we start the
new, exciting year of 2012, it’s valuable to take some time to reflect on what
the past year was about for us and on the changes we want or need to make and resolve to follow through on those changes. The beginning of every year brings
in new hope and enthusiasm. We look forward to a new beginning and hope things
to improve from the last year. We like to forget about our pasts and our difficult
memories and wish for a new start. New Year is celebrated with pomp and joy by
every race around the world. New Year brings in new promises.
I’m not really a big fan of New
Year’s Resolutions, because they’re easy to make, but not so easy to keep. But
I decided to do a list of my goals this year, but maybe I will not achieve my
goals.
This year, in 2012 I will love more, eat well, be brave,
start a sticker collection and take more photos. God will be my best friend, I
will love my enemies. I will stop being angry, I will never quit. I am going to
do my best in soccer even if I’m going to suffer. I will drink more water, wake
up earlier. And the most important is to listen to my heart and be positive.
