The village by the sea.

The village by the sea

Chapter 1:

The first chapter stands with Lila offering the sacred rock flowers so the fisherman return safely. Bela and Kamel are the only ones that go to school because Lila and Harry have to look after their family: looking after their mum, buying food, etc…                                                                         Hari wants to get a job, and his friend Ramu said that other people are going to come and make big factories and that they will get a job there. But Hari didn’t believe him that much. Hari and Lila knew that they would soon have to take Bela and Kamal out of school, because they would not be able to buy them school books and seeing that their parents can’t or won’t do anything to help them.

Chapter 2:

Lila had to go to the market so that she could buy the food for her family. On Lila’s way home she stopped to watch Biju’s boat being built by the Alibagh workmen. Hari was spending more time with the village boys watching Biju’s boat in the progress of being built instead of going to catch the fish his family needs for food. Hari was less interested of working in the factories that he would rather work on Biju’s boat. Once Hari had spoken to one of the workmen that were working on the factories he decided that it would be better to work in the factories.

Chapter 3:

Lila found her mother worse than what she had been and realized that something was wrong it turns out that she had a very high fever. The younger girls ran to next door to ask their neighbor is she could help their mother instead she sent the magic man to help on getting the evil spirits away. That night while their mother was in bed and their father was out of the sons for next door who was a bit drunk was asking the girls were the money was but they replied ‘we don’t have any money’ which he thinks is a joke that they don’t have any money.

A huge part of my life...

Everybody has different hobbies that he or she would like to do for fun or relaxation. They can be either physical activities like jogging, football, swimming, skateboarding… or mental activities like reading, watching movies, playing computers… and depend on each personality. For me, soccer is my hobby because it’s part of my life and I cannot live without it.
My mom told me that I liked kicking the ball around and had so much fun with it when I was only about two years old. Since then, playing soccer is my favorite’s sport and it is my hobby whenever I have free time. It is interesting and amazing, especially the feeling when I score a goal or my teammates do it. That feeling fulfills in me like I have just archived something very important. Playing soccer also helps me to relax and be confident when I have stress. Soccer has also taught me the sprit of teamwork.
However, I not only like playing soccer but also enjoy watching soccer game on TV. And my favorite team is Barcelona. I am so happy whenever Barca wins but I will get angry and do not sleep well that night if they lose. Soccer it's not just a sport it's my life... <3

My favourite quote: "If you don’t believe you can win, there is no point in getting out of bed at the end of the day."

Civil Disobedience

Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal to obey certain laws, demands, and commands of a government, or of an occupying international power in an effort to induce change in governmental policy or legislation, characterized by nonviolent means", theories on this term have been around for a long time.
Among the several civil disobedience acts that took place along the history of modern Egypt (most of which aren't widely known), the Egyptian Revolution of 1919 is considered to be one of the earliest successful implementations of non-violent civil disobedience world-wide. It was a countrywide revolution against the British occupation of Egypt and Sudan. It was started by Egyptians and Sudanese from different walks of life as a wake against the British-ordered exile of revolutionary leader Saad Zaghlul and other members of the Wafd Party in 1919.

9 February 2012: Protesters who are still raged over the bloody events that took place in Port Said stadium, which caused the death of 74 people, have announced their intention to participate in the general civil disobedience. Several political forces have suggested that the bloody events took place in cooperation with the country’s security.

Qualities of a good friend...

I always liked this quote: "A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.”

Friends play an important role in a person’s life. They encourage when one is sad, they entertain when one is lonesome, and they listen when one has problems. There are varieties of friends: co-workers, social workers, schoolmates, and much more. Each type of friends is helpful in one way or the other. Friends that grew up with would share the happiness and sadness one might has. However, friends that grew up with might not always be the best friends because they could fake it. So, it is very important for one to recognize all the friends they have because good friends are hard to find. Good friends should not be measured only base on the time spent together. With good friends, one is able to have a more meaningful life. It is very difficult to have a definition of a good friend for everyone to agree upon. Since everyone has different personalities, friends one looks for could be very different.

A true friend is someone who never gets tired of listening to your pointless dramas over and over again. Also trust is really important between friends. TRUST is like a paper once it’s crumbled it can’t be perfect again. Friends are like balloons, if you let them go, you can’t get them back. A true friend is the greatest of all blessings.

A simply awesome amazing super duper friend will even make sacrifices for you. A good friend is always kind and shares. Basically, a good friend knows when it's time to help and time to support. They need to respect your views and opinions, respect your space, just generally respecting who you are. A friend is not showing respect when they try to change you into something you're not.. Remember, you need to show respect first, to gain respect.

Remember, you yourself need to show all these qualities first and be a good friend yourself, before you can expect people to show these qualities back to you in return.
